Bagged

How many times is too many times?

This will be the third time I have dedicated a post to this A3. Outside of Pedro's car (who is local) and the EuroProjektz build I don't think I have posted any other A3 quite as much. Every time I see new photos of this car I just can't seem to help myself. Obsessed? Maybe.

      Hubs & Whites

If you are of the mindset that stance is all about wide wheels, stretched rubber, camber, and static suspension hopefully this '66 Cadillac Coupe De Ville will change your tune. Hammered to the floor via air ride and sitting on simple hub caps with white walls this car has got stance for miles, which is just about how long it is. Some cars all you need is low and this a perfect example.

      WTF Friday: Forgot About This

The year coming to a close means that one of my favourite threads (most hacked/ugly shit ever seen) on s10forum is also coming to a close. Yesterday while giving the thread one last read through the following incident randomly jumped from the recesses of my mind. Since it happened in 2009 I forget the exact chain of events I read at the time but the pictures do a great job of filling in the blanks.

      Green With Envy

Two weeks ago sifting through what seemed like endless amounts of Hot Import Nights coverage I stumbled across a photo in my reader posted by eyegasmic cars that caught my eye. Intrigued I set out to find the original photo and more on the car. After tracking down photographer Scott Kroeker I was able to not only get permission to re-post the photos but also obtained the contact information of the builder Brent.

      Theme Tuesdays: Classic American Trucks

I've been posting the odd classic truck (50s to early/mid 80s) both here and on the fan page for the past few months but for whatever reason I have never really posted them in mass. Today is the the day I change that. Quite a few of these trucks are fat fender Chevys or squared up C-10s but don't take that as a sign of me being a Chevy over Ford guy.

      3SDM

UK based wheel company 3SDM has been forwarding me both studio shots of their wheels and mounted shots for a couple of months now but the most recent use of their '0.01' wheels was the first to really catch my eye. Kind of unavoidable given the color these wheels are painted, but custom orange finish aside the concave of these 18x9.5 wheels suit this 'dub well. Though a car this low and clean you could probably slap Ronal Bears on it and I might like it.

      Skoty Chops

Some of you might remember me posting a photo of this dropped and chopped model A coupe on the fan page a few weeks ago. I had felt like as though I was lacking some classic metal in my life so I took to crawling the H.A.M.B. That Hokey Ass Message Board always delivers the goods and this ride built by Skoty Chops is no exception.

      WTF Friday: Canutuck?

It has been a long time since I've thought about 'the worlds lowest blazer' (at least five years) but for whatever reason it popped into my head while pulling together last weeks WTF Friday post. This truck is a great example of the extreme measures people were (and still are) willing to take to get their 'perfect stance'. I remember a lot of things about this truck (the extreme body drop, the fender humps, and the Fiero wheels) but a couple of the other details completely slipped my mind.

      Featured Ride: Phil’s Cobra

Not everyone’s got the balls to go up against the modification 'norms' of their platform because doing so invites the opinions of naysayers and know-it-alls. But what if the end product is a combination of function and form comprised of parts only from reputable manufacturers, then what? Well then you have a car like today's Mustang, one that provokes conversation and stands out amongst its peers.

      Pink is for…

There are a number of different ways I could finish that title and while I posted a mammary filled video on the fan page yesterday my intentions are to keep this blog (mostly) safe for work, so in this case pink is for eye catching. Which just so happens to be a great way to describe Bryan's Pink DC Interga that sports a completely custom and fairly subtle all metal wide body. Being able to keep things clean while rocking such a bright color can be tough but Bryan has got it down to a tee.

      Ride Low, Park Lower

I like air ride, I always have and I always will. With a lot of my favorite cars and trucks riding on air I don't really buy into the idea that static is anymore hardcore than air. Take Jeff for example, I heard him scraping his way down the road to Oktoberfest before I saw him and on the way out he didn't raise his car up past stock height as many would assume, he kept it hammered and left the same way he arrived.

      Theme Tuesdays: Air cooled Beetles

The 'blame' for this weeks Theme Tuesday can squarely be placed on the shoulders of previously featured photographer and current BC(?) resident Mike McConnell. After spotting the Beetle that used to be his at Oktoberfest I read through the entire build thread which left me wanting more. Since it's been a long time since I have dedicated a Theme Tuesday to this iconic car I spent some time last night pulling a quick list together.
