Dropped

      Fat and Flush

I've spent a lot of too much time lately browsing a fitment thread on Mazda 3 forums trying to figure out just how I want my new wheels to look this year in regards to stretch vs fatness and that's where I stumbled across this sick looking Speed3. It's sitting on an aggressive, functional, setup that I really can't find any reason not to like. I love Speed 3's, I love RPF-1s, and I love blacked out cars, and I love nice stance so this car hits all the right buttons for me.

      Winter Wednesdays: Jaw dropping

I love hot rod guys, something about their mentality makes them different than the rest of us. It's this mentality that allows them to create the cars I like to drool over then take them out in the snow just to blow my mind. The first car I am posting today probably doesn't see much winter driving, the second looks like it was just parked for the winter and then snow fell on it, but the third is reported to be a daily driver.

      Theme Tuesdays: BMW E9X

It's been awhile since I have done a Theme Tuesday on a late model car. This one in particular I've been working on and off for at least a year. Most of that time was spent with me pondering whether or not I really liked this chassis. Visually I think I do however if I were to get something for a performance aspect I would probably go older. This might have to do with the fact that I couldn't afford to own and mod an e90/e92.

      Volvo C30 Redux

I mentioned in the comments of the last C30 I posted that I had found another one since then, and this dope looking c30 is it. I spotted this on Ivy League East looking for a completely different Volvo. While the last c30 had an oem+ look to it this one drives a little bit harder to the point thanks to the beautifully polished CCWS. Both this one and the previous are very clean and I would have no issues driving either.

Nextmod at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011

According to their website the Tokyo Auto Salon is "the world’s largest auto exhibition with more than 600 vehicles on display". To me that reads as ' SEMA, in Japan, and larger'. While I didn't get to go Peter from Nextmod worked it into his well deserved vacation from the shop and uploaded a ton of photos from the event to Nextmod's facebook fan page. He gave me permission to re post some here for those of you who are not yet fans of theirs on facebook and I jumped at the opportunity.

      Volvo C30

While I've only seen a handful of modified Volvo C30s, and I have not explored their aftermarket crowd extensively, I feel safe in saying that this one is near the top of my list of favorites and will be for some time. It's very clean, wears a nice set of wheels and it sits with a awesome raked stance that works great with the lines of the car. What more can I say? I've got love for hatchbacks.

      Theme Tuesdays: Classic Minis

Question: What's small, nimble, a little bigger than a go kart, loved the world over, and can run on motors borrowed from two wheel vehicles as well as four wheel vehicles? Classic Mini's of course! I don't post a whole lot of Mini's around here so a Mini Theme Tuesday has been long over due. However, before I get to posting more of the current generation I've got to give a head nod to the ones that started it all.

      Rollin Heavy

Here's a quick before work, pre-Theme Tuesday post to get your day headed in the right direction. Nothing too fancy with this LS400 just another clean, black, dumped, dished Lexus. The more I look at it the more I like it, the factory two tone is working surprisingly well and the chrome trim around the wheels works well with the wheels.

How did I not know about this?

When it comes to motor swaps I'm not a purist in the slightest. I've said time, and time, again if a motor from another manufacturer is cheaper, faster, and more reliable than the one that came with your car and it's financially feasible to swap in then swap it in. That being said I had absolutely no idea people put small block Chevy motors in Porsche 911s.When I saw this '75 Porsche 911 with a Chevy small block in it on Night-Import I did a double take.

      Damn Son

I'm pretty sure this Datsun 510 hunted me down and found me because I wasn't even on a content hunt when I found it. I was just minding my own business, on my laptop, one lazy Sunday afternoon when it leapt of the screen at me. Even though I wasn't looking for it I am glad I found it as it's jumped to upper rankings of my favorite 510s ever built list. SR20 powered, on Works, clean body, and a drive height that looks good and allows it to be driven hard and stay clean? Yeah, I'm a fan.

      Crown Deluxe

It's funny how in most cases, regardless of the manufacturer, older cars look cooler than the newer ones. The Toyota Crown is no exception. Later models don't look particularly bad but they lack the uniqueness and character of their older first, second, and third generation siblings. This Crown Deluxe doesn't have much done to it visually other than a significant drop but it's styling is reminiscent of some of the I posted not to long ago, and as we've seen before sometimes less is more.

      Winter Wednesdays: Not Much

Snow wise this winter is still continuing to be fairly uneventful in the GTA. Usually it snows while I am at work, then by the time I get off work all of it's melted, so I don't really see any of it. Not that I am really complaining because commuting in even light snow seems to double the time it takes to go anywhere. Here are two Nissans in fairly light amounts of snow.
