Theme Tuesdays: I Like Mine With No Shine – part 2

2010. That post was made up of mostly black cars and with a couple cars switched out it could have easily passed for a 'murdered out' Theme Tuesday. This go round I took a little more time picking out the cars to include and pulled together a wider variety of cars including modern, euro, and the cars mysteriously missing from the last post, classics.

      Beard Life

This 240sx is one of the cleanest S-Chassis builds I have ever seen. Aesthetically and mechanically this car is basically flawless and an improvement in every regard to the way the car came from the factory. Built by a talented family of auto enthusiasts (grandfather through to grand son) it is a great example of what can be done if you have the means and do not cut corners. I recently found out the owner of this car is a fellow BMX rider and that was the final push I needed to post this car up.

      Ass, Ass, Ass, Ass

There is a fair chance a lot of you have only seen this Supra from the rear. Even though it is an older build my first and only exposure to it for the longest time was that one lone picture of its ass. Arguably the car looks best from the rear, but the rest of it isn't all that bad either especially when you take into account the wide body isn't an off the shelf kit and the twin turbo 2uzfe motor has been heavily worked over.

      Theme Tuesdays: CRXs

I am a little puzzled as to how I could have seriously gone so long without doing CRX Theme Tuesday considering I have already done Accords, Wagonvans, and Preludes. Seems like it would have been an obvious choice considering a friend of mine had a sick green one for awhile, must have just slipped my mind. Until today of course.

      Featured Ride: Moneesh’s RX-8

2011 saw a lot of people take extreme measures to build something that stands out in what has become an increasingly competitive scene. In an attempt to separate themselves from the latest internet sensation some arguably took things a little bit too far. Montreal native Moneesh didn't do this, instead of setting out to launch the 'fitment bar' to the moon he upgraded his car with modifications that compliment the RX-8's factory figure letting the final result speak for itself.

      Outside of the box(ing day)

In about twenty or so minutes my house is going to be full of people and food for round 2 of Christmas feasts so I don't really have a heck of a lot of time. However there isn't really much that needs to be said about this incredibly awesome custom (looks like Ford based) hot rod that Team Penguin spotted in September. According to the post the owner built what he wanted and doesn't seem to care if people love it or hate it.

      Theme Tuesdays: Classic American Trucks

I've been posting the odd classic truck (50s to early/mid 80s) both here and on the fan page for the past few months but for whatever reason I have never really posted them in mass. Today is the the day I change that. Quite a few of these trucks are fat fender Chevys or squared up C-10s but don't take that as a sign of me being a Chevy over Ford guy.

      HÃ¥ll Classy

Provided the fine folks at Google have their act together 'HÃ¥ll Classy' means stay classy in Swedish and Alexander Lindquist (of Sweden) has done a excellent job of staying classy with his W124 200E Mercedes Benz. Once he took care of the generous factory wheel gap Alex mounted a set of pristine looking 17x8 RH zw1 wheels that are a great match to this cars factory two tone paint.

      Yes2k

It's been a minute since I have posted a straight forward slammed S2000 with wheels that sit comfortably inside the fenders. With the S2000 people are quick to push the boundaries of what is possible in regards to aggressive fitment but this owner took a step back and spun the dial back around to where everything all started: Nice wheels with big drop.

      Guest Blog: Pleasurism

Back in February I stumbled across a Japan-born video on YouTube that features four impressive, VIP-styled JDM Honda Odysseys. Craving more, I did a bit of digging, and soon found myself flipping through a photo gallery belonging to Hoda — the owner of the red Odyssey in the video. Along with Hoda's photo gallery there is one more thing I found: His Twitter account. I followed him. We started talking. And when I made plans to visit Japan to see family, I wasted no time asking Hoda if he was interested to meet in person, he nearly instantly responded "yes".

      Fat and Flush: S-TI-fighter

From what I have seen Subaru owners that want to run low and wide might have the most uphill battle amongst their peers. A lot of the 'traditional' Subaru owners seem to think that Subarus (specifically STIs) should always be ready for rally conditions that could suddenly pop up in the middle of the highway. The reality is you don't need 4x4 ground clearance to enjoy all wheel drive, but people hate reality.

      Sweden gets down

It's still a little shocking how popular this Canadian based blog with predominately North American content is on a global scale. I'm not complaining of course because this global appeal is how awesome cars like this dub which belongs to Richard "Mingan" HÃ¥veland of Sweden show up in my inbox.
