Event Coverage: Candy On Chrome

Prior the the KJohn Wickedest Slam show I stopped by the True Playaz Candy and Chrome show a few minitues from my house. Last year I showed up way to early which meant a really long day so this year I showed up around 2:30 right in the middle of the action so to speak.

Event Coverage: 2012 Majestics / Luxurious BBQ

A couple weeks ago Rob from Perfromance Improvments let me know that I should check out the Majestics/Luxurious lowrider BBQ  at St Marie Curtis Park West. Generally the word "Lowrider" is more than enough to get me to come to an event but when you throw in the word 'barbecue' along with it I am there in a second.

Theme Tuesdays: Vintage Lowriders Part II

I love looking at vintage coverage from all areas of the hobby because it is a great way to see what styles were here to stay and continue to stand the test of time and which were 'of the era'. I hesitate to use the word fad because it has a lot of negative connotations and some styles tend to boomerang and come full circle in the end anyway.

A Visit To: Taylor’d Customs

At Performance World 2010 I saw my first Taylor'd Customs build (their unique weather worn bagged Impala) a year later at the same show I saw another one of their builds (the Canadian Hot Rod Featured Montbomb) sitting in the main hall behind a wall of well deserved onlookers who simply couldn't get enough of car. Now just over two years later I've had the pleasure of both featuring their 57 Chevy and checking out the shop where all the magic happens.

Theme Tuesdays: Best of the Fast & Furious

So my friend Josh is to thank blame for today's Theme Tuesday. I actually had a different one 90% complete then we got talking about the Fast and The Furious franchise and next thing you know I am spending my lunch hour collecting images of the cars I liked from all of the movies. This list is probably a little different than Josh thought it would turn out because my 'classic American cars are awesome' bias is clearly showing for a good portion of this post.

Guest Coverage: West Coast Nationals 2011

Tucson native Will Watrous has once again graced Stance Is Everything with an awesome set of photos from the West Coast Nationals. It's been a little bit since I had heard from Will so it was good to see that he's still riding low and hitting up events in his Ranger. The WCN coverage he sent over this year looks just as good, if not better than last year, so if I ever do somehow get a travel budget WCN is an event I must attend.

Random Dopeness: Volume 7

The rain kind of put a kibosh on some of the plans I had today so I've been re organizing and backing up photos I have taken as well as ones I have found online and figured it would be a good time to do another round of Random Dopeness. Speedline FilmWerks also sent over their latest video in the Wuste 2011 series which is just as good as their last effort which the sent by last week. Be sure to check both out at the end of this post.

Event Coverage: Street Classics Pre ’55 2011

On August 14th Street Classics hosted their annual 'pre-1955' classic car show and shine. Much like Vagkraft (which the same day) I had not attended this annual event since 2009, so I decided I might as well check out this show immediately after snapping some pictures at Vagkraft. Going directly from the biggest local VW meet of the year to a classic car event may seem weird to some but "I appreciate a fine body no matter the make".

Event Coverage: Too Fast Custom Car Show

Last weekend I went my second show at the Powerade Center in Brampton (the first being Vagkraft in 2009) which was the Too Fast Custom Car Show put on by SLC Productions and Too Fast motors. This was my first 'Heat The Street' show of the year (their 7th in total) so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in regards to turnout number and quality of cars. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised on both counts, many of the usual suspects came out to enjoy the sun along with a few people and cars I had not seen in awhile.

Big Blue Buick

Yep, I'm back on that Land Yacht vibe again and while I am not really familiar with Cor Forged Wheels if the majority of their clientele does their rides up like this than it's a brand I need to pay more attention to. This bagged 65 Buick Riviera looks absolutely killer laid out and I only hope drive height is really close to park height because you know, drive low, park lower.
