Epic Save

I found this build on JDM rides and 'Epic Save' were the first two words to come to my mind. This car started out as one of the worst looking Civics I have ever seen but the owner snatched the car from the moronic hands of the previous owner, put in some elbow grease and turned it into a nice, clean, de riced ride.

WTF Friday: Why Did you turn!

I had a few other things in mind to post today and those will have to wait until next week because as soon as I saw this video I busted up laughing. This is what happens when a few guys and one girl try and load a Civic EG on the back of a U-haul using dodgy ass ramps.

Event Coverage: Scrape By The Lake Part 3

The third and final part of the automotive coverage from Scrape By The Lake are the type of cars you would expect at your average car show. Actually if you think about it this section was the size or a normal car show making Scrape kind of like three car shows in one... Anyway, quite a few unique rides here as well.

Guest Event Coverage: Stretch & Poke II

This past Sunday Stretch & Poke hosted their second event, 'Hard Parked' at Humber Bay Park East in Toronto. The turnout for this event was smaller than the last but the cars that did show up were of top notch quality and sometimes a smaller group is better than a larger group when you are hanging out on a Sunday afternoon. While I was unable to attend Mike Branco, (the Division R member with the Mazda RX-8 on works) did and was kind enough to give me permission to reproduce his photos here, so without further adieu here is 'Hard Parked' through the lens of Mike.

Worked 905 gettin busy

Remember the J-32 powered, Worked 905, Honda Civic I posted in the 'Unique Local Motor Swaps' Theme Tuesday? The same one I saw at Honda-Tech 6 and Vagkraft last year and the same one that was featured on The Chronicles and in the pages of Honda Tuning? If none of this rings a bell click here for quick reminder.

Theme Tuesdays: CCW Wheels

CCW is one of a few custom wheel manufacturers who have really been making an impact on the internet lately and it's no surprise since they make gorgeous looking wheels to essentially. Their classics and LM20 models are their most popular it would see but I have yet to see a set of wheels from them I didn't like. After seeing two set's on the weekend at Tuners Against Street Racing I figured an appropriately themed Tuesday was in order.

Event Coverage: T.A.S.R 2010

On Sunday July 11th I attended the charity Tuners Against Street Racing show and shine for the third year in a row. This year to switch things up a bit I entered with Team JH instead of Team Toronto Mazda 3 and we were able to take home best team award which was pretty cool. Like previous years the event went off fairly well considering mother nature decided to cool us down in the middle of the day with a quick thunderstorm. I got to catch up and shoot the breeze with a bunch of old/new friends which is pretty much all I ask for from an event.

Clean Local EK

Toronto has it's share of clean EK's and here is another one I happened to come across on a local message board.

Event Coverage: Voice Coil Meltdown 5

This weekend was the 5th Annual Voice Coil Meltdown and Tuner Jam Show put on by Division R Performance and hosted at Selective Sound in Mississauga. Since I had missed this show all four previous years I made a mental note to attend this one even before Sam had invited me out to the event to cover and sponsor it. The show had a great turnout and for the most part the weather cooperated, here are the photos from this year and I hope to make it out again next year.

Theme Tuesdays: The Acura RSX

A twitter friend of my @AhmadBrown is a serious RSX nut, one of his more recent tweets that said 'Just got another RSX today. Good thing I'm not married or else my wife would freaking kill me.' tipped the scales in the favor of the RSX/DC5 being the subject of today's Theme Tuesday. The scale didn't need that much of a tip however since I seriously considered getting one of these before I got my Mazda 3. In the end I opted for the Mazda 3 because it could carry more bikes and people at once than the RSX.

Theme Tuesdays: Classy Car Models Part 2

Last time I did a 'classy model' Theme Tuesday it went over a lot better than I thought it would. Really I shouldn't have been surprised. Guys like cars, and guys like girls it's natural. But girls also like cars, but they often do not like car show models. What girls do like (generally and in addition to cars) are clothes and style, thus classy car models give the female readers something to enjoy as well. This way everyone wins! Except me, the screening process for this is hell on my eyes 😛

K.Saun + Worked 905 = Winning Combo

The local JDMrides crowd is no doubt well aware of the type of cars Worked 905 produces, and the amazing pictures that Kevin Saunders shoots, but for those of you from out of town you are in for a treat. Today's combination of amazing cars & photography is simply stunning. All of these pictures were taken walking distance from my house and I have seen all of these cars out and about in my local hood as well.
