Message Board Finds

Random Dopeness: Volume 4

It's been awhile since I dropped some Random Dopeness, and I have had this set ready for quite some time so it's time, so it's time to throw one up. Enjoy.

WTF Friday: One year already?

Before I jump into today's WTF Friday (a fast Saturn) I thought I should mention that a year ago today was when I published the first post on stanceiseverything.com It's really exciting that an idea that took losing my job to become reality has come this far in such a short time. Now 13 Featured Rides, 36 covered Events, 49 Theme Tuesdays, and 975 comments later S.I.E. is still here and going strong. Thanks to everyone reading this, this site/blog wouldn't be what it is today without you keeping me motivated. Now without further adieu today's WTF Friday.

Just how BMW would have wanted it

Local e30 guru and the organizer of the last GTA e30 meet, Rudy, recently gave his e30 a face lift. Previously I said Rudy had what was perhaps the cleanest 325is in Toronto but now it is hands down the cleanest oem MTECH II kitted 325is in Toronto.

WTF Friday: Compact Disasters

I have nothing against compact cars, if you need something to drive with the misses and are not really concerned about performance or hauling miscellaneous crap around with you then they are perfect.. However when modifying them it's best to not use a heavy handed approach but rather with a certain grace & finesse. Most certainly not with a full size body kit and a large quantity of body filler. These talented, but misguided body men decided to throw caution to the wind and go all in, here are the results.

A lot of e30

Got another quick message board find today, this shortened week combined with running around getting parts for my car means that a lot of the drafts I have written for such occasions are finally seeing the light of day. I spotted this e30 awhile back and I am still not 100% sure how I feel about it. The black helps the 'Testarossa' sides for sure, and the wheels have gobs of dish, but the small brakes behind them kind of throw me for a loop. At any rate all of the work is well done and it's nice and low.

Functional Fitment

Came across this e46 a few days ago on Max and even though the owner thinks his track wheels look tiny I'm a fan of how this e46 looks set up for the track on Apex Arc-8 17x9 (et) 42 wheels with 255s all around. At 17lbs a piece these wheels won't slow the owner down on the track either.

WTF Friday: Just throw it in four low

When I first saw these pictures it took a little while for me re realize what was going on. My brain struggled with the fact that someone drove on public roads like this. I really wish there was video to go with it, imagine the stopping distance?

Inspiration 2: – Girlfriend Edition

Those of you who pay a lot of attention both here and on twitter might know that my girlfriend drives a Kia Soul 2u (the one without the flashing speakers), she's had it about a year and it draws a surprising amount of attention for a stock vehicle, a lot of which can be contributed to it's unique shape on somewhat rarity on the road. However after watching me look at, and write about, cars almost daily for the past year has made her begin to wonder what her car could look like with a bit of a drop and some aftermarket wheels.

WTF Friday: red lights are optional?

I saw a thread on jdmrides containing compilations of clips captured by red light cameras. Before watching this video I didn't really have any idea how ballsy some people are when the run red lights. Some people just gun it and pray while others are just oblivious and cruise on through. This footage will shock and amaze you...

Volvo Memories

Growing up my dad was a car guy, he used to take me to the Toronto International Auto Show, buy me remote control cars and got me hooked on building models. For almost as far back as I can remember his 91 Volvo 940se was his pride and joy. This car was my first introduction to RWD luxury and my dads 'family compromise' so to speak. He loved this car and would often take me for spirited drives showing me the effects of over steer as we went. I often hoped this car would be mine but sadly this was not the case.

Level One doing big things

Last week I posted a sick STI on Advans sharing lens space with an equally sick s2000 and the week before that I posted a flush s2000 on blue Volks which was the car that started the local s2000 onslaught. Today I've got some more photos of the s2000 and STI, along with a TSX, 350z and the Civic SI you might have seen hiding in the original s2000 shoot.

Kick Game

Maybe it's just me but I have always thought these cars looked like shoes, not to say they are not capable of looking good or performing well (as this post proves), but they still look like shoes. Maybe the perfect car for a sneaker aficionado?
