WTF Friday: Skynoma?

Being a member of s10forum I am not really sure how I missed this build where an s10 owner put an rb20det in an s10 but I did. I had no idea this even happened until I saw a video clip on my friend Jesse's new blog Dorimoto and my interest was peaked.

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 3

Here it is, the third and final set of photos from round 6 of the 2010 DMCC series at Mosport. Qualifying was Tuesday, show and shine Wednesday, and today is the finals and photos from the podium. Hopefully you guys have enjoyed this in depth coverage and will know (provided you are local to one) check out at least a DMCC event.

Event Preview: CSCS Finale 2010

The 2010 Canadian Sport Compact Series is wrapping up this Sunday September 26 at Cayuga Motorsports park so if you have not had a chance to make it out to any of the three previous events this year be sure to show up between 11am and 7pm as it will be your last chance. Like all of the other CSCS events this weekend includes: Drifiting, Time Attack,Open Lapping, Drag Racing and a show and shine event as well as product give-aways and multiple stage shows.

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 2

In between the qualifying runs and the finals at DMCC I took some time to quickly pass through the show and shine/pit area so it only makes sense that the coverage of said show and shine appears between the qualifying coverage and finals coverage. In hindsight it was free to enter the show and shine so I should have thrown my car in for kicks, next year...

Event Coverage: Mosport DMCC Part 1

On Sunday September 19th 2010 I went out to my first Drift Mania Canadian Championship (DMCC) event, which just so happened to be their final East event of the year. I had the long lens on the camera for most of the day which worked a treat for catching the action from the stands, and today's coverage is what I caught in the qualifying rounds.

Theme Tuesdays: Classy Car Models Part 3

Time to fall back on another established Theme for this Tuesday, but I am pretty sure no one will mind as I have yet to see a gear head turn down photos of fine looking cars and fine looking women. Oddly enough one common trend of Classy Models part one, part two and today's part three is that each has had an older VW paired with a fine young lady.

Stretch & Poke III: Sayonara Summer

Dave and the crew at Stretch & Poke have put together their final meet of the year and it's taking place Oct 3rd 2010 at Downsview Park. Downsview is the same venue as Honda Tech 7 so there is no worry of spots filling up or pay parking, furthermore there will be awesome deals on food and beverages courtesy of Grand Prix Kartways. Event Coverage: Applewood Plaza 09/15/10

Last week was fairly Import heavy and most of this week will be drift heavy so to show a little love to those who read the blog and are a fan of classic cars I swung by the Applewood Plaza cruise in last week and took some photos. The turnout was not the largest that I've seen but it sure wasn't the smallest either, and I got to chat with Rod, the owner of the Turbonique Rocket Kart, some more about just how crazy the whole Jet powered vehicle thing was.

WTF Friday: Bulgaria’s potholes are no joke

I Saw these photos on the Stance Works forums and I was awe struck. We have some pot holes here that are worth avoiding but it seems like Bulgaria has craters which the refer to as pot holes. These are not rota's getting mangled either authentic BBS wheels just getting disrespected something fierce. It's enough to make a wheel whore cry.

WTF Friday: Nashty

I mentioned in Mondays coverage from the Street Classics season opener that the teal Nash Metropolitan present was the first I had seen in some time in stock form motor and all. Most of the Nash Metropolitans visible online and at shows (at least in my experience) are heavily modified just like this one currently up for auction on ebay.

Roadwork damage compensation in Toronto

October 17th 2011 I hit a piece of sectioned out road that caused just shy of $600 worth of damage to my car. Despite several people telling me that trying to get the city to pay for it would be a wasted effort I went through with it and on April 9th 2012, I was compensated in full for the damages.

Theme Tuesdays: More Volvos

A couple days ago when moving my dad out of his place I found a picture of myself in front of his once prized Volvo, then later in the week when my visiting mom I noticed my her neighbor recently picked up a a C30 which we chatted about for awhile. Those two run ins meant I had Volvos on the brain so I figured why not keep that going a little bit more with these I had sitting on my hard drive from the last time I did a Volvo Theme Tuesday.

Street Royalty

This twin turbo Buick Regal prowls the streets of Durham Region in Ontario. Street or track this car is a formidable foe.

Toyota 2JZ Swapped Nissan S15

Dylan Sharpe Racing's single turbo 2JZ powered S15 was his version of the 'perfect' Nissan S15 Silvia. If there is such a thing of course.
