      WTF Friday: SR20 Echo

The drift community is known for their creativity when it comes to builds and this Echo I found on Build Threads is really no exception. Outside of this car there has been no real reason for me to pay attention to anything going on in the Toyota Echo world but this car peaked my interests (briefly) in the small commutator minded hatch. A bunch of creative (demented?) fabricators in Japan took it upon themselves to merge an echo with an s14 rear sub frame and a blacktop SR20.

      WTF Friday: ETU

I'll be honest with you I had a completely different set of WTF Friday photos to post today and I wasn't planning on doing a guessing game for a few weeks but that all went out the door when I saw this creation Sic Ryde spotted on one of his many missions through the the streets of Ontario. If you can correctly identify and prove what the heck this truck started as then I will send you an equally mysterious sticker pack made up of Stance Is Everything stickers and stickers from sponsors and friends.

Event Coverage: CSCS Opener 2011: Pt 1

The Canadian Sport Compact Series kicked of their season with one hell of an eventful day last Sunday. Mr. weatherman finally blessed CSCS with a glowing, scorching, rain free, forecast that lead to a spectacular turn out. In fact it was the best turn out I've ever seen at CSCS since I have been attending. The distance I had to park from the action was a clear indicator of just how many people came out to enjoy a day of motor sport.

      Bus-ted

Not too long after I started this automotive blogging thing I made a few connections with other open minded car enthusiasts like myself. Noah at Hatch Life was one of these enthusiasts (along with Phil, Ant, Logan, and more). He is a car guy first and a Honda enthusiast second. His enthusiasm for all sorts of automobiles of a variety of different styles really knows no bounds (sound familiar?) and though other priorities took him away from blogging for a bit he's back up to his old tricks now and recently posted this bus that might be too good to be true.

      WTF Friday: Not so furious?

I've got to say I am pretty surprised that no one saw anything too crazy at the Fast Five Premieres in their respective areas. Perhaps it's a sign of car modification trending towards cleaner, simpler, mods, or maybe it's just a sign that I should have put a better prize up for submitting photos 😛 Anyway no big deal, the show must go on so I have some perplexing cars from the same thread I got this gem of a car from.

      WTF Friday: Legit Kit

It looks like since I left high school my auto teacher has been busy, really busy. He's moved on from turning clapped out Pontiac Fieros into Lamborghini Countach, and Ferrari 355 Spiders, replicas and is now creating full tube chassis BMW V12 (M70 I think) powered Diablo replicas. Helping build a Lamborghini kit had a big impact on my life as a car enthusiast so it's awesome to see that he's still working away at it, and still passing on the love and knowledge of cars to other impressionable youth who would rather be putting welding burns in their shirts than learning calculus.

      WTF Friday: April Fools

Today is April Fools and while I have already been a part of a few pranks here in the office (and avoided any being done to me) I don't really have any to pull on all of you. I had a few over the top plans of elaborate site pranks but procrastination, laziness, and life basically put the end to that. Instead here are just some very questionably styled cars I found online, one of which was famous around these parts for awhile.

WTF Friday: Winter towing fail 2011

This has got to be the funniest towing fail I have seen since the one where a bunch of clowns remove the back of a car trying to get it out of a snow bank. If your wondering how this truck ended up upside down in a frozen lake your guess is as good as mine. However one take away from this video is never under estimate the power of a front end loader.

      Irrelevant?

This first time I came across this 51 Chevy COE it was posted on another stance blog where the writer stated that it was fairly irrelevant to the forms of stance they normally showcase. That statement struck me as odd because to me flush, poke, tuck, drag, lowrider, vip, whatever your suspension alteration poison happens if at the end of it all it's awesome that's all that matters.

      WTF Friday: Yugo/ Integrale

So once again I had a completely different WTF Friday started then came across something that sent that original post straight to the back burner because of this crazy creation. Some unique minded individual has took it upon themselves to combine the best(?) parts of two cars that I have never seen in person before, a Yugo 45, and a Lancia Delta Integrale, into one attractive and capable little track monster.

Nextmod at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011

According to their website the Tokyo Auto Salon is "the world’s largest auto exhibition with more than 600 vehicles on display". To me that reads as ' SEMA, in Japan, and larger'. While I didn't get to go Peter from Nextmod worked it into his well deserved vacation from the shop and uploaded a ton of photos from the event to Nextmod's facebook fan page. He gave me permission to re post some here for those of you who are not yet fans of theirs on facebook and I jumped at the opportunity.

WTF Friday: Rocket Powered Go Kart!?

I go to a lot of car shows, as you probably already know from my event coverage, and doing so I see a lot of crazy things: insane and interesting motor swaps, slammed International trucks, and lots of scantily clad women are pretty much par for the course. However what is not par for the course is what I saw at last Saturdays Street Classics Cruise In. While slowly making my way outward from the ice cream truck I saw an older looking go kart sitting on the ground beside a Jr Dragster.
