Mr Ing.

Mr Ing has been turning a lot of heads breaking necks in his Lexus GS350 lately, he's been featured on the scraped crusaders, has two long threads about his car on jdmrides and when we rolled in to the Nextmod 1 year every stopped and looked. The reason his car turns so many heads is because a Lexus that looks like this in the GTA is somewhat of a rare bird and this one is in a current state of evolution.

Event Preview: Importfest 2010

As the GTA's 2010 show season nears it's end one of the most anticipated shows of the year, Importfest, gets closer. This is a reminder to the local readers that this years Importfest (which takes place this Saturday) is the 10th anniversary of the show and therefore the organizers plan on doing it BIG with new classes, new sponsors, and new on site features.

Jukebox

Nissan is coming out with another interesting suv type vehicle, The Juke, and just like last years Cube this car sure looks unique. With the cube it was pretty easy to see that Nissan was trying to scrape some off the top of the Scion 'box' market but with the Juke I am not 100% sure on where they are thinking of going.

Theme Tuesday: Rig shots

A couple weeks ago, in the "Rolling Shots Part 2" Theme Tuesday I made mention of the fact I was working on an all rig shot themed post. After searching a few forums I have come up with the following collection of photos. You will probably notice that many share the same watermark and that's because those who take rig shots well take them often.

Don’t worry be happy

Owning an 04 means that my car is now a senior Mazda 3, previously wasn't really too noticeable as the differences from 04-08 are fairly subtle, however now that the 2010's are out and running around this means that my car is officially old news. Looking at the 2010s though it's hard to be bummed about owning a geezer car because not only am I used to it but the younger happier sibling to my car takes very well to modifications as the following Toronto Mazda 3 members have shown.

Supermade does it again

The guys over at Supermade must have a Corrado resource I don't know about because this is the second one that they have posted this week that's made me stop in my tracks and throw up a post These Mercedes Benz AMG wheels, though large, look right at home on this Corrado with the height it's at, I'm really feelin it.

WTF Friday: Allison powered Opel GT

I found this crazy contraption in one of my new favorite threads on VW Vortex, the Insane or Unique motor swap thread. Personally I love when cars are transformed into motors on wheels using power plants that were never meant to power something as small and humble as an automobile. The internet legend would have it that this 1970 or so Opel GT got hit by a train and instead of ending up in the junk yard for the rest of it's days an unknown Ohio inventor got a hold of it and put an early P-51 Allison v-12 in the back of it.

An army of Eks

Emilio aka b20bomber on jdmrides aka the man behind the lens at TWOLITREmedia was a photographer part of an EK Hatch photo shoot last weekend after HT7. All of the cars in the shoot look amazing, and really speak to the quality of Toronto's current EK scene. Additionally the pictures themselves are of top notch quality.

Event Coverage August 22nd CSCS 2010 Pt 2

The road track at Cayuga was pretty busy all day with lapping, time attack, and drifting going on. The number of events resulted in a capture card full of tons of photos and while I could have posted everything up today I've decided to break up the track coverage as well for those on phones/sketchy wifi. This post contains photos of the the time attack event and a few cars I missed from yesterdays show & shine coverage, as well as a teaser of tomorrows coverage which will be nothing but drift action.

WTF Friday: Supercharged V8 Intrepid

Amazed, and confused. Both of those words describe my initial reaction to seeing a rear wheel drive, supercharged v8 powered, Chrylser Intrepid. I guess its not all together ridiculous.Intrepids can't be worth all that much these days and they do happen to have very large engine bays. I've also came to learn that the exhaust tunnel can double for a drive shaft tunnel provided you route the exhaust elsewhere.

WTF Friday: V8 Single Cab Volkswagen Street Rod

Scrolling through my Facebook timeline this morning, dodging an ever-increasing amount of click bait articles, I saw a few photos of the front of...

Double Build Update

Looks like Christmas was good to some this year as two of the builds I have been sharing got pretty significant updates over the winter holiday, both the M-tricks Autosports 2002 build and Pat Cyr's F20 AE86 build were updated so let's take a look at what's been done.

WTF Friday: Challenge Accepted.

The FR-S and the Nissan s13 are both chassis that have been modified in almost every way imaginable. Being the older of the two cars...
