Event Coverage Stretch & Poke 2010 Part 2

The second part of my coverage from the Stretch and Poke event put on by the Toronto Wrong Fitment crew. The second half contains, Nissans, Lexus, Volkswagens, Audis, and finally Subaru's.

Event Coverage: Stretch & Poke 2010 Part 1

As I am sure you are all well aware, from yesterday's teaser coverage courtesy of Elle Marie Photography, the Toronto Wrong Fitment Crew organized an meet in the GTA called 'Poke and Stretch'. Which was Toronto's first meet dedicated to low, clean, cars with aggressive fitment. The weather was great and the atmosphere was awesome no drama, no competition just everyone out because they love cars, everything a good car meet should be.

      WTF Friday: Vo Lo Vo

I like Volvos and I love low riders, but together I'm not 100% convinced it's a good idea. What 90% of the population thinks be-damned though since this cardomain member decided to throw caution to the wind and build the low rider he always wanted out of his 760 Turbo estate.

      That Silver Ae86

When I posted this clean as hell Ae86 in my event coverage of Gumball 3000 here and on a few local message boards people couldn't get enough of it. Well in what seems to be an ever growing trend the owner stumbled upon the site and linked me to a picture of his car along with some more info.

      Cali Connection

Julian hit me up with some news from Cali, some good some and some bad. Unfortunately his super clean, low, wrx wagon was smacked up by another car, but don't worry, it's currently going under the knife and should be back looking great with some new additions in no time. Until then he sent me some pics of his friend Arsen's S2k that's killing the streets on custom painted Work Emotion CR-Kai's.

      Theme Tuesdays: Rolling Shots

Rolling shots are really an art, whether meticulously planned or a random snap out of a window they always have a way of bringing out the best parts of a car and minimizing the worst. Maybe that's why Rolling shot appreciation threads can be found on virtually every car forum on the net, here is my homage.

      Noah is in the hood

Bad title I know, but moving past that, Noah at EKhatch is posting regularly again and has done something pretty interesting with his hood. He's brought it down to metal and thrown some WW2 era Rob Schwager graphics on it for this summer.

      Theme Tuesdays: E36s

Not sure why it took me this long to do a Theme Tuesday dedicated to e36s but it did, so without further adieu here is something for the e36 lovers. Warning you will see lots and lots of style 5's in this post, but that's not a bad thing. I also included a few local e36s in the mix.

      Level One doing big things

Last week I posted a sick STI on Advans sharing lens space with an equally sick s2000 and the week before that I posted a flush s2000 on blue Volks which was the car that started the local s2000 onslaught. Today I've got some more photos of the s2000 and STI, along with a TSX, 350z and the Civic SI you might have seen hiding in the original s2000 shoot.

      Kick Game

Maybe it's just me but I have always thought these cars looked like shoes, not to say they are not capable of looking good or performing well (as this post proves), but they still look like shoes. Maybe the perfect car for a sneaker aficionado?

WTF Friday: Man destroys CF hood because it won’t sell

This is really weird, a member on JDMrides had a CF DA hood for sale that 11 people said they would but all flaked out for one reason or another. So instead of throwing it in a corner and waiting for a new buyer the seller got frustrated and filmed himself destroying the usable hood. There is something to be said here about the western society and waste but that's for more sophisticated blogs, here I just say WTF.

      Goin For Gold

When I was working on last weeks e30 touring Theme Tuesday I came across this really nice e30 coupe. These pictures are nowhere near new since I have seen them before (2001 2002 maybe?) but I don't like this car any less now than I did then. This e30 just goes to show how far ahead Europe was (and arguably still is) and that nothing is new these days just old stuff done differently.
