Sunday’s Refined: Curated Sunday Special

Theme Tuesdays: Mitsubishi Evos (Pt. 2)

On the heels of last weeks slightly unorthodox Theme Tuesday I decided to go with something a little more standard this week. With the Evo IXs slowly starting to trickle onto Canadian streets, and the new Dodge Charger looking oddly Evo X inspired I've had these cars on the brain a little bit more than usual lately, which worked well as I had a decent number of them saved on my hard drive as well.

Girl you be killin ’em

Since it's Valentines Day (and because I have this song stuck in my head) I figured it would be appropriate to post these photos of a local female who rolled damn hard in 2010. I've seen this car in person a few times, once at a CSCS event, and then a couple weeks later at a BBQ in Markham, but prior to seeing these shots on JDM Rides I didn't know of any photos that really captured just how nice this car really is.

February sticker give away

As promised here is the February sticker give away post. The theme of this give away is characters and Seche Media along with Supermade, Sweetie Girl Racing, and Nextmod all came through with an awesome variety of stickers to give away this month. The format is the same, comment to enter for one of the three available prize packages, the only thing different for this one is that since it's Valentines day one of the prize packages is only available to the female readers.

Blenda

My friend Josh speaks Japanese and I don't, which means on twitter (@shiftmo) he follows a number of people that I wouldn't be able to understand. Amidst what is gibberish to me Josh found this Honda Odyssey. Any one who has even a partial eye on the Honda Odyssey scene will tell you that here in North America we generally ignore these vans while the Japanese do them up pretty serious. This particular one, called 'Blenda' by it's owner is so nice that it inspired me to put up a rare Sunday post.

WTF Friday: Yugo/ Integrale

So once again I had a completely different WTF Friday started then came across something that sent that original post straight to the back burner because of this crazy creation. Some unique minded individual has took it upon themselves to combine the best(?) parts of two cars that I have never seen in person before, a Yugo 45, and a Lancia Delta Integrale, into one attractive and capable little track monster.

Death star

It's been a little bit since I posted that clean as hell Fortune Auto Datsun 510, and even longer since I posted a 280z so to break the Datsun drought here is a 280z out of Quebec that looks quite proper dressed in all black and wearing 16x9 and 16x10 3pc Simmons wheels as asphalt kickers. I'm very impressed the owner was able to keep this car so clean in Quebec because from what i hear the roads in QC are not very great and they salt quite a bit.

Another one touches down

Since the last bagged Subaru I've posted I learned a few things. The first being is that more people seem to dig bagged Subarus than not and the second is that more people are bagging Subbies than I originally thought (apparently it's big in Australia). Case in point this bagged Legacy GTS on what look to be purple Raderwerks built by Kustomz Unlimited INC out in Texas.

Winter Wednesdays: Hoarder

Pat Cyr, Dan Cyr, and Drift Possee are awesome. I keep saying this because it continues to be true as evident from today's photos I lifted from Dan's wall. In the winter months Pat tends to do a lot of the following two things: work on his competition car, and slide his winter car, which also happens to be an ae86. When asked on facebook where Pat gets all his AE86's Dan simply replied: "Ever seen the show Hoarders?"

Theme Tuesdays: Morris Minors

My apologies to some of you for today's Theme Tuesday as it's a little random and outside of the box. However I think a large part of my audience visits because the site is a little more general automotive focused than your typical stance blog, and a lot more stance focused than your typical automotive blog. Or at least that's the excuse I am using to explain the fact that I go from posting e46s to classics, to IS300s, to today's topic car Morris Minors without skipping a beat.
