Event Coverage: 2010 CSCS Finale- Part 1

Yesterday I mentioned that the 2010 CSCS finale had an absolutely stellar turnout, the best of any CSCS I had attended personally. There were cars everywhere, on the track, in the pits, and all over the visitor parking, it seemed like everyone and there mom was out at Cayuga. Today I have 30 plus photos of what I saw off the track and away from the show and shine, few unique/rarity's here.

Theme Tuesdays: Classy Car Models Part 3

Time to fall back on another established Theme for this Tuesday, but I am pretty sure no one will mind as I have yet to see a gear head turn down photos of fine looking cars and fine looking women. Oddly enough one common trend of Classy Models part one, part two and today's part three is that each has had an older VW paired with a fine young lady.

Theme Tuesdays: FD RX-7s

I know I've done this body style of RX-7 before but truth be told there are so many nice ones out there that I will probably do the same theme a few more times. Sorry for the amount repeats lately but I am working on a couple of unique Theme Tuesdays but they take time to pull together. Besides it's nothing but love for rotary's right?

Theme Tuesday: Rig shots

A couple weeks ago, in the "Rolling Shots Part 2" Theme Tuesday I made mention of the fact I was working on an all rig shot themed post. After searching a few forums I have come up with the following collection of photos. You will probably notice that many share the same watermark and that's because those who take rig shots well take them often.

Don’t worry be happy

Owning an 04 means that my car is now a senior Mazda 3, previously wasn't really too noticeable as the differences from 04-08 are fairly subtle, however now that the 2010's are out and running around this means that my car is officially old news. Looking at the 2010s though it's hard to be bummed about owning a geezer car because not only am I used to it but the younger happier sibling to my car takes very well to modifications as the following Toronto Mazda 3 members have shown.

Event Coverage: Honda Tech 2010

Last year was my first Honda Tech event and I was blown away by the quality of cars that were there. For a long time Honda's were not the cleanest cars around so it was really refreshing to see so many nice ones in one area along with all of the other clean cars that came out. Because of my move the previous day my time at the show was short and sweet and while I didn't show up during it's peak but I was still able to get a lot of shots of the action and, thankfully, the time I showed up it had cooled down slightly as it was a scorcher.

Event Coverage August 22nd CSCS 2010 Pt 2

The road track at Cayuga was pretty busy all day with lapping, time attack, and drifting going on. The number of events resulted in a capture card full of tons of photos and while I could have posted everything up today I've decided to break up the track coverage as well for those on phones/sketchy wifi. This post contains photos of the the time attack event and a few cars I missed from yesterdays show & shine coverage, as well as a teaser of tomorrows coverage which will be nothing but drift action.

Theme Tuesdays: Fellow BMX Riders

I like cars, this info is not new to any of you, I also really like to ride BMX and if for whatever reason I had to pick between the two I would probably chose the latter. However, I don't see having to choose anytime soon so I have decided for this Theme Tuesday to combine my two interests and post cars owned by fellow riders.

Some low guy

sumTHAIguy on Mazda 3 forums has always had a pretty low speed3, and he's gone through a number of wheels since I first started paying attention to his ride. Recently he changed both his front suspension setup and wheels and in my eyes really dialed in his stance. Using the same smaller lock rings and cartridges from BC that I am he added a custom shorter spring up front (4" vs 6.7") to the mix and his now able to tuck tire on his Work Ryver DT4's.

Readers rides: Facebook fans part 2

Since I added the Facebook 'like' button to the post pages last night I figured today would be the perfect time to do another edition of 'Readers Rides' from the facebook fan page. The fan page has been really active lately so it you are not a fan already take a look as I often post things on there that don't make it here, and generally try and be just as interactive on there as I am here. Anyway, enough plugs, let's check out some of your rides.

Geby is doin the damn thing

Just the other day @gebyz hit me up with this picture on twitter. After taking a look at it I quickly remembered that I had actually posted a picture of his car before, an RX-7 as sick as this is not easy to forget. Geby, who hails from the same area of BC as the Drift Union guys, has done a great job putting together one serious looking and performing RX-7.

Event Coverage: Scrape By The Lake Part 3

The third and final part of the automotive coverage from Scrape By The Lake are the type of cars you would expect at your average car show. Actually if you think about it this section was the size or a normal car show making Scrape kind of like three car shows in one... Anyway, quite a few unique rides here as well.
